First: stop using your computer.

Even if it seems to be running normally, turn it off and leave it that way. It needs to be examined before anything else happens to the drive.

What we recover from

Hope is not lost.

Everyone runs on data today, and we know how important yours is. These are the situations we help with most.

Computer & server crashes

Whatever caused the crash, we can work to get your data back off the drive.

Drops & physical damage

Laptops that took a fall and drives with physical damage.

Flood & fire

Machines damaged by water or fire can still hold recoverable data.

No backup

Lost everything and never backed up? Recovery is still possible.

How it works

A clear answer before anything else.

  1. 1

    Stop and bring it in

Shut the computer down and bring it to our Boone shop, or call us first.

  2. 2

    We diagnose the drive

A $49 diagnosis, paid at drop-off, tells you whether we can pull your data and how much is recoverable. If we can't recover anything, there's no extra charge.

  3. 3

    We recover what we can

Most recoveries happen here. Some advanced cases need to be shipped to a specialist recovery lab.

Questions

Data recovery FAQ

What should I do right now?

Stop using the computer, even if it still seems to work. Then call us or bring it in so we can examine the drive.

Can you recover data if I never backed up?

Often, yes. Crashes, drops, floods, fires and physical damage don't always mean your data is gone.

What does data recovery cost?

There's a $49 diagnosis fee when you drop off your drive. If we can't recover anything, there's no extra charge.

How do I know how much you can recover?

We start with a diagnosis of your hard drive. It tells us whether we can pull data and how much is obtainable.

Do you send drives out?

Some recoveries need advanced equipment, so those drives are shipped to a third-party recovery company. We'll tell you if yours is one of them.

Crashed drive? Call before you try anything else.

The sooner we look at it, the better your chances.
