Big Lots was opening new locations and Geeks at the Work / Computer Tamers was contracted to build out these stores. The projects consisted of POS installations, low voltage cabling, AP installation, CCTV installation and rack installation. Cabling was ran for all POS systems, cameras and AP’s. After which, installation and configuration of new POS systems, installation AP’s in ceiling, a new network rack was also installed and configured. Projects were under strict QA guidelines.


Geeks at the Work / Computer Tamers have been contracted over the years to assist in multiple projects at multiple McDonalds locations to install upgraded Wi-Fi, new network, store re-models, drive through equipment, etc.


Mast Farm Inn is a selected Historic Hotels of America five star bed and breakfast located in Valle Crucis North Carolina. Geeks at the Work / Computer Tamers completely re-worked and re-built the entire networking infrastructure of the Inn and all of its associated properties. Geeks at the Work / Computer Tamers brought in a new ISP that that tripled the Inn’s current data all the while reducing the price by half. With more and more guests demanding reliable internet, a faster and wider pipe to the internet was required. This included a property-wide Wi-Fi system that seamlessly carried guests throughout the property.


Geeks at the Work / Computer Tamers was contracted to assist in the remodel of Rite Aid stores that were being converted to Walgreens. This consisted of Low Voltage wiring, CCTV installation, VoIP installation, AP installation, etc.


New campus buildout that included new low voltage data drops (over 400), POTS lines (over a dozen) and AP installations. Also new network rack installation.


Project included a major upgrade to VoIP phone system.  Work consists of multiple new data drops, router and switch installations, new phone installations including training.


Multiple new store build outs, which included Low Voltage Cabling, server installation, POS installation, CCTV installation and Wi-Fi installation.
