Starlink for Business
Our New Offering
Computer Tamers / Geeks at Work is excited to announce we are now a Starlink for Business Dealer. Starlink has many benefits for both residential and especially businesses. Starlink’s main advantage is in rural areas lacking the benefits from a hardline internet connection, such as cable or fiber. Starlink’s other strong advantage is it can be set up for internet backup, either in a residential or business environment, even if you currently have cable or fiber internet.

One of the best benefits of Starlink for Business is its ability to provide failover internet in the event your primary internet fails. Monthly service runs as cheap as $10/month. As we know from historical events, such as Hurricane Helene, even if you have fiber or cable, it is not guaranteed up-time. Even for businesses with no damage in their neighborhood and had power, they still had no internet because the feeds were destroyed by Helene. Another perfect example of having a reliable internet backup is the recent Verizon nationwide outage we experienced in the High Country. Many businesses run primarily on cellular or have cellular as a backup. Remember, this was the second time Verizon had a nationwide outage, prior to January of 2026, it was August 2025. We also found this to be a problem with Helene as cell towers were either down or overly congested with traffic. Having Starlink for Business as a failover would avoid all these downtimes and the way we would configure your network infrastructure would only take 1 second of transfer to it, so no downturn would be evident.
